It pretty much says &quot;do whatever you like with the code as long as preserve this copyright and don&#39;t sue me if something goes wrong with my code.&quot;<br /><br />RE the thread, it basically boils down to: if you release with GPL you make your code incompatible with all the more liberal licenses like MIT or BSD. This may be necessary if you want to block commercial development on your code base, but I&#39;m not looking to block commercial reuse.
